Fly by

We were treated to a mini air show today!  The Canadian Armed Forces Snowbird team was enroute from Dryden to Thunder Bay and treated us to a quick fly by.

Here they come…

Eclipse by Beaver

Beaver over Agimak

Touch and go

There are a number of birds that take off and land on the waters of Agimak Lake. Most frequently we see the Dehavilland Beaver and Otter.
The other day, however the tail of our Beaver was the target for a touch and go exercise for a flock of little song birds.

Tree Swallow up close.

Thanks to my good friends and bird experts, Darren & Bonnie for helping id them.

Celebrate!

Three years ago today, we celebrated more than Canada’s Birthday.

Our daughter, Krista married her sweetheart, Scott in a uniquely Canadian way.

Dinner on the shores of Agimak Lake included local, fresh walleye and wild blueberry cheesecake.
Pretty Canadian, eh?

Sounds of Spring

One of the very first sounds of spring on Agimak Lake
is the gull cry.
As soon as the opening at the damn begins to grow,
a flock of gulls gather.

Not long after, birds of a different feather return.
