Helping hands

It’s been too cold for us to be enjoying the screen porch.
A hummingbird, however, stopped in but couldn’t find its way out.

It just needed a couple of helping hands.

“Come again!”

Sounds of Spring

One of the very first sounds of spring on Agimak Lake
is the gull cry.
As soon as the opening at the damn begins to grow,
a flock of gulls gather.

Not long after, birds of a different feather return.

Blue & White

I’m rather fond of blue and white –
Delft Blue porcelain
Toronto Maple Leafs
Spring ice…

Piece of Lake Ice

May 5th our lake (Agimak) was clear of ice.

For the next couple of posts,
I’ll share images of the deteriorating ice.

Ice on the move

Once the sheet of ice starts to move, it isn’t long
and the lake is clear.

If the temperatures dip below freezing again, new ice begins to form.
