Superior shores
Having spent my formative years adjacent to and on the waters of the greatest of the Great Lakes, I have a never ending love for Lake Superior. I was fortunate to grow up in Thunder Bay, Ontario and spend summer vacations sailing on the waters of one of the world’s largest bodies of fresh water. For the past quarter century, though, I’ve lived at on the water’s edge of a much smaller, calmer body of water. It’s always a treat to travel the shores of majestic Lake Superior, no matter the season.





Conceal and reveal
A fluffy blanket of snow can hide a lot. Interestingly, fluffy snow can also make more obvious what might not be. Here’s an example.
Bracket fungus (aka Birch polypore or razor-strop fungus) wear a snowy hat.
Sure looks like a sesame seed bun to me!
