Cousins Connecting

Nearly a year in the planning, our Greaves family reunion took place this past week end in Thunder Bay. We had beauiful weather for the gathering of Brad’s Dad’s siblings and their offspring (four generations). Halle and Zachary, below, are 2nd cousins once removed and live 45oo km apart. They were discussing what they were planning to wear for the fancy dinner that night.

Happy Spring!!

I’m currently enjoying time in BC with kids and grandkids.  My 6 year old grandson joined me on a walk and took this pic with my camera.

Birthday treat

Here is a screen shot of my grandson (3000 km away in Langley, BC) reading me a bedtime story on my birthday!

Couldn’t have asked for (or imagined) a better gift.

Busy boats

It’s been a busy week – no time to post – with kids and grandkids ALL together for some late summer fun and quality fishing at Seseganaga Lake.

Krista & Scott with Jonas (1) and Zachary (4)
Scott has Zachary’s little rod which caught the first fish every outing and biggest fish of the trip – a 24 inch walleye with Uncle Mike!

Mike, Jo and Caralyn

Brad & I were busy in our boat, too!

Celebrate!

Three years ago today, we celebrated more than Canada’s Birthday.

Our daughter, Krista married her sweetheart, Scott in a uniquely Canadian way.

Dinner on the shores of Agimak Lake included local, fresh walleye and wild blueberry cheesecake.
Pretty Canadian, eh?
