I am alone?

Am I the only one excited to see more snow?  Maybe because I’ve not been home much over the last few weeks that being snowed in was a treat.  Maybe because it is still April and not yet May, it’s okay to enjoy the beauty of a fresh, white dump.  Maybe it’s because what I see out my window looks like this.

Not soon enough

Winter begins to wind down.  Water trapped in its solid state for months, morphs to liquid, singing in drips and dribbles the promise of spring.

Did you know some maples’ leaves start out as red in spring as they turn in fall?  I love how they pose as flowers for spring splendor!

The Spawn

We took a drive down some back roads the other day.  As we rounded a bend in the road, we spooked up more than a dozen eagles where the creek narrowed under a bridge.  In the moving water under the bridge the suckers were thick in the spawn.
