Sounds of Spring

One of the very first sounds of spring on Agimak Lake
is the gull cry.
As soon as the opening at the damn begins to grow,
a flock of gulls gather.

Not long after, birds of a different feather return.

Still waiting…

Back in icy central Canada, our float planes aren’t the only birds waiting for ice-out!

Canada Jay

The Canada Jay or Gray Jay is also known as the Whiskey Jack.
They learn very quickly where the ‘handouts’ are
and can easily be coaxed to eat out of your hand
if you are patient enough.

Snowbirds

Not all Canadian Snowbirds head south for the winter!
