backlit daffodil boquet

Happy Mother’s Day!
I am so blessed to have a precious mother and mother-in-law. These two women are fantastic role models; wives of 55 and 56 years, respectively. I’m so glad they are in my life and in the lives of my children and grandchildren!
And I am also SO thankful for my very special daughters and daughter-in-law that are loving mothers (and aunt) to my beautiful grandchildren. To Krista and Caralyn and Jo, I send my love.

rippled reflection

Ah, such a beautiful sunset reflecting on the surface of Agimak Lake…

Oh, no! Something has disturbed the water!

Panning slightly to the left…Lindor!!

Okay. Let’s play.

Showy entrance

I have no idea what type of tree this is. I don’t recall ever seeing this around us in NW Ontario. We were returning from a business trip to Minneapolis MN and stopped for dinner in Forest Lake MN. These delicate seed strings were swaying ever so gently in the setting sun like hula skirts at a luau.

Agimak Lake, Ignace, Ontario

One of the things I look forward to most in spring is having the lake surface smooth like glass multiplying the beauty of our sunsets. Although the lake in front of our home is still frozen tight to the shore, where the creek runs out, there is always open water. The foreground in the image above is ice The area of open water looks larger than it is because the shadow of the far shore hides the fact that 95% of the lake is still frozen.
