One more shot from the golden sunset evening: a study in lines. The wake of a passing boat threatens to disturb the smooth surface in the grasses. Fascinating textures are created.

The reflection of the golden, setting sun is captured in surface tension of the lake surface where it meets the grasses. Each reed in the ray’s path is be-jewelled.

The setting sun casts a golden glow over everything. The soft yellow of the fall grasses along the shore turns metalic. No filters were added nor colour adjustment done to this image. It is straight out of the camera (SOOTC)!

Sailing has been an important part of my life. It was ‘my’ sport in my youth, family vacations on Lake Superior, teaching and competing through High School, honeymooning to Isle Royale, a dinghy at my dock, and bareboating in the BVI for our 25th anniversary! It was my Dad’s passion for sailing that sparked mine (and my brother’s). These days, at 78, he is out on the water every day he can be. I love the sight of his white sails against the blue of ski and’sea’ in front of my house! And I’m so proud! Sail on!
