Although it will be a while before the tulips in my garden emerge, we can enjoy these spectacular beauties captured at Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island last spring. For more shots from that visit, here is the post.

weight-ing

As we eagerly wait for spring and the big melt, snow is falling heavily again!

New Life

Happy Easter! Christ the Lord is Risen! Alleluia!
Spring is such a fabulous season. The earth is reborn after harsh cold and long nights. New life bursts forth – some years sooner than others! These pussy willows were photographed last year on March 19. We’ll be lucky to see them this year by April 19! As I post, snows are blowing again.

dewy nets

The other morning on our walk, I noticed a strange white in the red-brown bushes in the meadow by Agimak Creek.
On closer inspection, I found dewy webs that looked like hammocks.
It was amazing to see all the shades of red, orange and brown that would soon be hidden by new green leaves.

baby green

You know that colour I mean; that fresh bright green of spring when trees come alive again…love that colour!!

Happy Mother’s Day!
I am so blessed to have a precious mother and mother-in-law. These two women are fantastic role models; wives of 55 and 56 years, respectively. I’m so glad they are in my life and in the lives of my children and grandchildren!
And I am also SO thankful for my very special daughters and daughter-in-law that are loving mothers (and aunt) to my beautiful grandchildren. To Krista and Caralyn and Jo, I send my love.
