Spring Pine

There is a point most days just before sunset that my lakeside environment bursts with colour.  It’s as if the colour saturation slider is cranked up by the setting sun.  A golden glow seems to embrace every blade and needle.

Evergreen? Did you know coniferous trees actually shed their needles? Okay, not all of them but the needles on their way out change colour before falling to the ground!
