About the wrapping…

Christ’s birth is really a celebration of God wrapping all that He is in a tiny, human form.  The baby Mary delivered would become her Deliverer and ours  We are all alienated from God because of sin but can be forgiven and born into His family through faith in His birth, death and resurrection.

[Christ] being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!  Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:6-11 (NIV)

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize Him.  He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.  Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-children not born of natural descent nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” John 1:10-13 (NIV)

Have you received Him, believed in HIs name, become a child of God?

Seems like yesterday…

Fondly remembering the birth of our first born, a precious daughter 29 years ago today!
Love ya sweetie!

Waiting for Baby

This week end I was blessed to spend time with our precious son and daughter-in-law who kindly allowed me to set up and shoot some maternity photos of them. They were very patient and co-operative and adorable. After posing for several shots, I suggested they take a stretch break. Caralyn paused by the open window and I captured the image below.

Straight out of the camera.
