Busy boats

It’s been a busy week – no time to post – with kids and grandkids ALL together for some late summer fun and quality fishing at Seseganaga Lake.

Krista & Scott with Jonas (1) and Zachary (4)
Scott has Zachary’s little rod which caught the first fish every outing and biggest fish of the trip – a 24 inch walleye with Uncle Mike!

Mike, Jo and Caralyn

Brad & I were busy in our boat, too!

Winged creature

Coming in off the lake at dusk, we spotted some small birds feeding on insects on the surface of the calm lake. They were very quick as they did their dinner dance. I was surprised to capture anything of it and pleased at the result.

Morning commute

Having to return to work from an outpost lake by 7 am isn’t so bad when the view is like this.Agimak Lake

Home is

where you make it.We found this nest in the wood shed behind the sauna at Irene Lake. We gently removed it to add more firewood then set it back on top of the pile. I hope the residents appreciate the improved view.

Painting and Painted

An opportunity to visit Irene Lake to paint the fishing cleaning house at our outpost cabin there afforded us a chance to observe the painted turtles who make Irene Lake home.

How many do you see (above)?
