It’s very rare that I take only one shot of a scene. With digital capture, we have the ability to shoot an enormous number of images for, basically, free. Since the review screen on my old Canon Rebel is so small, I generally purge images during import to my computer then again in post processing.
A quick glance in camera at this first shot, I knew I wasn’t happy with the depth of field or how the top of the mountain ash was lined up with background tree line. So I recomposed and shot again (latter image). It wasn’t until I uploaded the images to my computer that I could see a dragonfly snuck into the first shot!
