Surprise appearance

It’s very rare that I take only one shot of a scene.  With digital capture, we have the ability to shoot an enormous number of images for, basically, free.  Since the review screen on my old Canon Rebel is so small, I generally purge images during import to my computer then again in post processing.

A quick glance in camera at this first shot, I knew I wasn’t happy with the depth of field or how the top of the mountain ash was lined up with background tree line.  So I recomposed and shot again (latter image).  It wasn’t until I uploaded the images to my computer that I could see a dragonfly snuck into the first shot!
