Fireworks join the bright light of a near full moon in a clear July sky over Agimak Lake in Ignace, Ontario.
We had a great vantage point in our bug free screen porch. (If you look closely, you can just see the mesh of the screen in the image.)
I hadn’t yet familiarized myself with the longer shutter speed settings on the new camera (Canon 7D) so the resulting images ranged from almost black to so bright it looked like mid day! L should have it figured out by next year’s show…

It’s fun to watch flight characteristics and examine the structure of wings. This dragonfly’s wings look like stained glass.
dewy nets
The other morning on our walk, I noticed a strange white in the red-brown bushes in the meadow by Agimak Creek.
On closer inspection, I found dewy webs that looked like hammocks.
It was amazing to see all the shades of red, orange and brown that would soon be hidden by new green leaves.

You know that colour I mean; that fresh bright green of spring when trees come alive again…love that colour!!
