Don’t rock the float

The trickiest part about getting this shot was keeping Lindor from disturbing the water!  It’s very rare to have such a calm evening.  Even though Lindor is careful not to get his feet wet when lapping up lake water at the shore, every sip has an noticeable ripple effect!

LOL

There’s not a day goes by that Lindor doesn’t make me laugh out loud!  He’s always excited when I pick up my camera bag to head outside.  Generally, he brings his gear, too (something for me to toss for him…)  This night the sunset promised to be worthy of a shoot so out we went.  I didn’t realize until uploading the images how funny some of these turned out.

Guess where his ball is...

Lindor's imitation of a moose calf

Love those perky ears!

Paddle on the pond

Much of what I’ve read about photography relates to light. The best light, they say, is at sunrise and sunset. With this in mind, I grabbed the kayak and my camera and headed for an evening paddle on Lilypad Lake for some water lily shots.

The water surface was like glass and the sky gorgeous but the lilies had already put themselves to bed!

So.. I tried morning light (coffee break-ish) hoping to find the blossoms awake…I was delighted to watch (and snap) as the entire pond gradually filled with fragrant white blossoms around me!
Next post, I’ll share some of my faves. They will be worth the wait, I promise!
