Butchart Gardens

It’s hard not to fill the data card in the camera in this beautiful, historic site! Here are just a few..No spring photo collection is complete without some tulips!

On track or off?

On our way to Thunder Bay early the other day, we spotted this pair of sandhill cranes grazing along the train track that runs parallel to the TransCanada highway just east of Upsala. We aren’t on their typical migratory path so this was an unusual sight. We were on our way to catch a flight of our own (to the west coast) so my capture time was limited.

Going, going, gone

It was fascinating (see previous post) to watch the sharp lines of frost morph into droplets which found each other, growing until too big to remain on the branch.

Spikey

Frost on shrubbery by the creek.

Aaa-choo

Thankfully, I have no spring allergies. I feel for those of you who do. Just think, tho’, if spring came early, it will likely leave early, too. 🙂I was surpeised to see shades of pink, orange and green in the tiny pods of pollen!
